Dr (Prof) Rajesh Ahlawat is the Group Chairman – Urology, Chairman – Centre of Excellence of Prostate and Urological Cancers (Noida), Advisor to Max Robotic Urology Development and Training. He is internationally recognized for pioneering the world’s first Robotic Kidney Transplant (RKT) with Regional Hypothermia and has led the development of advanced urology, uro-oncology, and renal transplantation programs across leading institutions in India and abroad.
With more than 4 decades of experience, Dr Ahlawat has headed prestigious urology departments including Medanta – The Medicity, Fortis Escorts Hospital, and Mount Sinai Hospital, New York. His expertise spans urological cancer surgery, reconstructive urology, laparoscopic and robotic surgery, and kidney transplantation.
Dr. Ahlawat has received numerous accolades including the President’s Gold Medal by USI, Lifetime Achievement Award by NZ-USI, PB Berry Scholarship (UK), Kashi Ram Dhawan Gold Medal, and Chakraborty Fellowship (I-AUA). He is an active member of global professional bodies such as the Urological Society of India, American Urological Association, Société Internationale d’Urologie, and the Endourological Society.
He completed his MBBS and MS (General Surgery) from King George’s Medical College, Lucknow, and MCh (Urology) from AIIMS, New Delhi, along with multiple international fellowships and academic appointments.
